Added the "Latest Updates" box to the home page and a
DBA Army Search app to the "Useful Stuff"
section.
Due to lack of time, inspiration, motivation, etc. this site has never been where I initially envisioned it. I am once again unemployed, so the lack of time is currently not an issue. The lack of inspiration and motivation will probably always be. With that in mind, I've decided that it's a waste of funds to just let this domain keep redirecting to a blogspot page.
I've had a rethink for this site and decided that I should just approach it from the viewpoint that it is a place for me to stash notes, resources, etc. for my own use and that might result in a more complete web site for everyone in the future.
This is also a solo effort so, for now, LittleMetalMen.com is going to be a work in progress. What this means is that some parts I plan to eventually have on the site will not appear, while others will appear in all their ugliness. If any of my WebDev buddies want to volunteer some help... ;)
At some point I would like to have articles on the site and will probably be looking for volunteers to write articles on various aspects of the hobby; painting, modeling, sculpting, etc.
I also want to get galleries online ASAP, but my current photography skills leave a lot to be desired, so if there is anyone in Northern Virginia willing to volunteer some time to give me a little instruction or just take the photos yourself, I'd be extremely grateful.
So, with all this in mind, I give you the perpetual work in progress that is LittleMetalMen.com.
I am currently focusing on some pikemen for Sir Thomas Glemham's Regiment of Foote for English Civil War games, but also trying to finish up a long standing Cryx faction project for WARMACHINE.
A couple of 15mm Historical armies also continue to take up space on the table, as do some fantasy orcs and goblins. With unemployment and the Winter cold once again rearing their ugly heads, I'm hoping I can spend some of my time off getting back full-swing into painting (when I'm not looking for work!).
